Are you passionate about leveraging cutting-edge simulation tools to drive innovation in pharmaceutical manufacturing?
Do you have experience in Discrete Event Simulations (DES) and thrive in an agile, independent work environment?
If so, we invite you to join our Early Innovation and Strategy Department at our client.
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Simulation Expert with a focus on Discrete Event Simulations (DES) to join our clients dynamic team. You will play a key role in rapid development of simulation models to support our innovation initiatives.

- Develop and maintain Discrete Event Simulation models using Siemens Plantsim.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand and model manufacturing con-cepts.
- Perform data analysis to inform simulation models and verify/validate outcomes.
- Provide insights and recommendations for process improvements based on simulation results.
- Work independently to manage model development and deliverables in an agile, fast-paced environment.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in simulation tools and techniques.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Discrete Event Simulations (DES).
- Proficiency with one or more simulation tools such as Siemens Plant Simulation, FlexSim, Anylogic, Simio, or similar.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across depart-ments.
- A keen interest in learning new manufacturing concepts and digital tools.
- Preferrable have Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Software Engineering, or related field.
About the candidate:
Three main criteria:
- Agile development mindset
- Good communication
- Siemens Plant Simulation / Any other Discrete Event Simulation knowledge
It can be difficult to find a candidate who excel in all 3.
We can accept a tradeoff between 1+2 and 3.
If there is any candidate who has very strong experience in 3 but not strong in 1 and/or 2, that is fine.
But if there is a candidate relatively young and with limited experience in 3, we will help him/her by providing training with the Siemens tools. Based on previous experience, I can say candidates who are smart and really good in 1 and 2, could rapidly learn the simulation tools very fast. But if any candidate with strong knowledge on Plant Simulation but not used to work with agile development methodologies also very much welcome.
